Spacecraft Integration EngineerAs a Spacecraft Integration Engineer at Impulse, you will own all aspects of the spacecraft build from vehicle assembly through checkouts and launch site integration. Impulse is building an exceptional team and this position is a growth opportunity open to high performers of any experience level above the basic qualifications.ResponsibilitiesOwn spacecraft build from assembly start through integration onto the launch vehicleExecute critical system-level testing, working directly with subsystem level ownersPlan, support and drive system integration and activation alongside skilled technician teamsBuild, organize and manage a multidisciplinary schedule to drive delivery of the spacecraft on timeProvide innovative solutions to problems while operating with a high degree of autonomyWork and communicate effectively at a technical level with numerous teams across propulsion, avionics, structures, software, test, and manufacturingIdentify, track, and communicate build issues and work across the organization to drive resolutionsProvide feedback to design teams to improve processing of the spacecraft through the entire lifecycleMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials engineering, or other engineering discipline4+ years of experience integrating, designing, and/or building an aerospace, industrial, chemical, or material manufacturing process2+ years' of demonstrated experience with pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic functional test stands and testingPreferred Skills and Experience7+ years of experience working integration/design/build an aerospace, industrial, chemical, or material manufacturing processHands-on experience working with complex fluid or mechanical systems in a professional settingDemonstrated expertise in the design, build, and operation of hazardous processing equipmentExperience using Siemens NX, SOLIDWORKS, or similar CAD softwareExperience drafting and updating piping and instrumentations schematicsExperience using SQL or other similar database systemsFamiliarity with industrial control systems (such as PLCs)Excellent written and oral communication, especially translating technical concepts for non-technical audiencesGeneral hands-on mechanical experience: welding, automotive, pumps/valves, rocketry, etc.Ability to work in a fast paced, autonomously driven, and demanding atmosphereCompensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. To conform to U.S.
