Role Description
We are looking for doers who are ready to take significant technical ownership from day one. We are hiring experienced, senior- or principal-level spacecraft engineers across the following domains:
- RF / Communications
- Propulsion
- Structures & Mechanisms
We welcome both individual contributors and those looking to lead others while remaining hands-on. Roles are full-time and on-site in Long Beach, CA; Seattle, WA; or Paris, France. Hybrid is possible during a relocation transition.
Qualifications
We are flexible on the specific detailed qualifications. We care more about mindset, what you’ve built, and how quickly you can learn.
Must Haves
- Experience developing hardware and/or software that has successfully operated in space.
- Experience with end-to-end execution of the full product lifecycle of spacecraft systems: design, build, test, and flight.
- Experience working across disciplines and making system-level technical tradeoffs.
- Ability to work well on a team, make hard decisions, operate with a strong sense of ownership, think creatively to break through barriers, and execute quickly.
Nice to Haves
- Experience operating in the NewSpace environment.
- Experience working in a startup environment.
- Experience working in a small, highly autonomous engineering team.
- Experience with rapid hardware development and iterative testing.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a technical or scientific field.
Irrelevant
- Years of experience. Some people do more in 5 years than others do in 20.
- Previous job title or what college you went to.
- Prestige of previous employers. We care about what you actually did there.

U.S. Roles:
Must be authorized to work in the United States and be a U.S. Person as defined by applicable U.S. export control regulations. Work visa sponsorship is not available.
France Roles:
Must be authorized to work in France or be eligible to obtain French work authorization. Work permits for non-EU nationals may be available for qualified candidates. Certain positions may be subject to applicable French, EU, and/or U.S. export control requirements.
