Space Operations IntegratorStellar Solutions is seeking a Space Operations Integrator to support the development, modernization, deployment, and expansion of mission-critical space command and control capabilities. This role serves as a subject matter expert supporting a Government customer with operational space command and control best practices, software resiliency and availability, secure supply chain considerations, and program execution. The position operates in a highly collaborative environment with program leadership, contracting, engineering, and stakeholder teams to help deliver effective, scalable capability to the mission.This role is central to aligning operational mission needs with disciplined acquisition, systems integration, and program execution.
The Space Operations Integrator will work across customer and stakeholder teams to support planning, technical coordination, modernization efforts, and enterprise transition of space-related capabilities. Success in this position requires strong operational judgment, familiarity with acquisition processes and documentation, and the ability to communicate clearly across technical and programmatic audiences.Key responsibilities include:Advise the Program Manager and senior customer leadership on acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting, and executionProvide operations expertise across requirements development, systems design, testing, systems integration, and tactical or operational command and control analysisGather, process, and analyze military tactical and operational data in support of planning and operationsSupport the secure scaling of prototyped systems into enterprise operational applications for space missionsContribute to the development and refinement of acquisition strategies and identify program execution issues with recommended courses of actionDevelop presentation materials, status briefings, and strategic communications products to support customer decision-making and program outcomesPerform business case analyses and risk assessments and provide actionable recommendations to program leadershipCoordinate daily with program managers, contracting officers, system engineers, and other stakeholder organizationsSupport best practices related to operational resiliency, software availability, and protection of critical space programsContribute to the development of effective processes and procedures supporting mission execution and program modernizationRequired qualifications:Bachelor's degree10 years of experience implementing large-scale, highly available, complex software services and application solutions10 years of experience supporting defense space command and control mission areasIn-depth experience with program acquisition processes and documentationExperience supporting development, deployment, modernization, and expansion efforts for complex mission systemsExperience working across technical, operational, and programmatic stakeholders in a Government customer environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop briefings and strategic communications materialsDesired qualifications:Experience supporting the Combined Space Operations Center command environment at Vandenberg Space Force Base, including planning and executing global space operationsExperience developing best practices for maintenance, administration, engineering, architecture, development, patching, and upgrades of applications and systems used for space operationsUnderstanding of enterprise IT change and configuration management policies and implementation for operational systems, software, and devicesExperience managing system configuration and monitoring changes to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and logical access control enforcementExperience supporting a tactical or operational space operations unitKnowledge of Software Acquisition Pathway and DevOps practicesFamiliarity with defense software acquisition practices described in DoDI Familiarity with Jira and ConfluenceClearance & additional requirements:Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5), adjudicated for SCI eligibility, and enrolled in Continuous Vetting, if applicableMust be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access ProgramsMust consent to a polygraph examination, as requiredLocation:This position is full-time, on site at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CACompensation:The typical salary range for this position is USD $120,000 - $160,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to annual salary).Deliverables:Deliverables will be in the format of reports, briefings, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance, instructions, policy, or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require quick responses to stringent deadlines and always in a high-quality, professional manner.
