Overview
South Tampa Assistant Store Manager role at Sally Beauty . This role supports the Store Manager in leading store operations, developing associates, and maintaining brand standards to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The Assistant Manager acts in the Store Manager's absence as needed.
Responsibilities
- 30% Brand: Provides supervision and supports the direction planning of associates daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience which maximizes sales/KPIs and drives customer loyalty in assigned stores. Emphasis on both in-store selling and Omni-channel; ensures brand standards such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Acts as main point of contact to resolve customer issues. Analyzes store trends and anticipates customer demands.
- 30% People: Engages, trains and develops teams to achieve positive results. Recruits to build a network of candidates; identifies strengths and opportunities for each associate and addresses through coaching or counseling. Holds team accountable to company policies and expectations. Maintains positive associate relations and communicates relevant company information. Builds strong working relationships with Store Manager peers. Maintains timely communication with AM/DM. Fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging.
- 30% Operations: Ensures execution of all company processes through training, management, analysis and continuous improvement. Supports digital strategies such as Omni-channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS).
- 10% Inventory and Store Management: Manages inventory through ordering and shipment processing. Handles payroll hours and scheduling; ensures store opening and closing procedures are performed correctly; follows company directives and assignments.
- 10% Safety and Loss Prevention: Maintains a safe store environment; enforces policies; protects company assets by following inventory and cash control procedures; analyzes reports and utilizes available tools. Ensures compliance with Hazmat training requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
- At least 1+ year of prior management experience preferred
- Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives
- Effective communication with team and management
- Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business
- Cosmetology license desirable, but not required

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
