Job OpportunityThis is an onsite position - Primary Location: Tucson, AZ (split time between Marana site and Oro Valley site); Mandatory to be on-site at least 3 days per week (Tuesday and Thursdays at Oro Valley Campus. Wednesday at Marana campus)Pay range is $35-$40/hr, depending on experienceThe Opportunity:Responsible for executing Direct Procurement Operations activities for Roche Tissue Diagnostics, ensuring alignment with Category Management strategiesFocuses on supplier management, escalations, master data management, cost savings, and continuous improvementEducation & Experience:University degree, with a business-related degree, preferably a post-graduate business qualification3+ years of procurement experience with experience in basic contracting, business enterprise systems, and spot buyingExperience or demonstrated understanding in supporting cost reduction and value improvement programsExperience in operational excellence or continuous improvement methodologies as well as experience in Life Sciences are a plusExperience with enterprise systems and procure-to-pay tools and eSourcing tools is desiredPreferred Skills/Experience:Experience with SAP or other ERP softwareKeen analytical acumenProven success in proactively managing deliverables to ensure timely completionKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Understands and frequently uses quantitative and / or qualitative data to drive decisionsIdentifies risks to support statements or hypothesesWorks independently to develop and implement a negotiation plan / strategy (May need assistance in leading complex or challenging negotiations)Good communication skills and demonstrated understanding of translating business requirements into procurement specifications with customer service in mindTailors messages and communications appropriately with limited supervision to ensure understandingContributes to meetings and team presentations/briefings and asks appropriate questions to gather informationBasic level of proficiency in business enterprise tools and understanding of the end-to-end procurement process
