LOCATION
  • Hybrid schedule with approximately three days onsite following onboarding.
  • Primary office located in Charlotte, North Carolina .
  • Occasional travel to generation facilities and project sites throughout the region.
  • Overnight travel may be required depending on project needs, with all business travel reimbursed.
  • Candidates should live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Charlotte office.
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
  • Lead sourcing strategy for high-value equipment, engineered materials, and critical service contracts supporting power generation and renewable energy operations.
  • Drive meaningful cost savings and supplier performance through strategic negotiations and category management.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, project management, operations, legal, and finance to support major capital and maintenance projects.
  • Manage supplier relationships throughout the contract lifecycle, including negotiations, implementation, issue resolution, and ongoing performance.
  • Help ensure critical infrastructure projects stay on schedule by securing reliable suppliers and long-term sourcing solutions.
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
  • 5+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or category management experience.
  • Experience negotiating complex contracts for industrial equipment, engineered products, construction services, manufacturing, utilities, or other technical categories.
  • Proven ability to lead competitive bid events including RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Comfortable partnering with cross-functional stakeholders while managing multiple high-impact projects independently.
  • Bachelor's degree required, with utility, energy, industrial manufacturing, EPC, construction, or heavy equipment sourcing experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms, contract management, and financial analysis is a strong advantage.
