This role reports to the Sr. Manager of International Production & Sourcing at Beyond Yoga and works closely with internal teams and supply partners to drive strategic and tactical decision-making. The focus is on ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and on-time delivery across a designated portfolio of vendors and material suppliers.
About The Job
- Leverage strong professional relationships with strategic suppliers and industry players.
- Employ market leading knowledge of key international industry players, competitors and dynamics to identify potential.
- Initiate and implement programs with our suppliers to improve speed-to-market, building a responsive supply chain and improving ability to react to customer demand while minimizing inventory risk and raw material risks
- Define the vendor qualification process, leading the identification, evaluation, selection, on or off boarding of suppliers all without disruption in quality, service, or cost
- Own partnerships and overall performance of international vendors to align with company standard and expectations in costing target, in-full service, quality, trade compliance, supply chain security and corporate social responsibility goals.
- Manage Supply Chain Operation teams (production, po/wip management of international suppliers to continuously improve operational performance, ensure trade compliance and corporate responsibility)
- Partner with the internal team to maximize profitability by ensuring costing execution, choosing optimal sourcing locations that offer duty relief via current and future International trade agreements as well as end to end supply chain advantage (inventory, lead-time, service, CO2 emission, etc.)
- Collaborate with internal teams to achieve alignment and to ensure that the source base meets prototyping and development needs of the organization on a seasonal and promotional basis
- Partner with the Compliance team to anticipate change in international trade regulations that impact sourcing strategies, e.g., duties and quotas and establishing and supporting the enforcement of optimal incoterms with suppliers.
About You
- 5 years of international strategic sourcing/production/procurement experience in apparel with experience in fabric and piece goods preferred.
- Market leading knowledge of international sourcing market analysis, macro-economic drivers, sourcing category strategy, supplier relationship management, strategic vendor alliance programs, 'should-cost' models, and multi-year negotiation strategies, supplier continuous improvement programs and Lean Initiatives
- Experience in developing and working with diverse cultures
- Knowledge of Ethical Sourcing Requirements
- Ability to create analytical tools for managing sourcing decisions, product line evolution and gross margin optimization on an international level
- Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products, our Brand, or other departments' operations and morale; “connecting the dots”
This is a hybrid position based in our Culver City, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $77,100 - $102,700 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
