Sourcing Manager (Clinical Operations / R&D)

Overview
The Sourcing Manager will lead strategic sourcing initiatives primarily within the Clinical Operations and R&D category, with opportunities to support additional indirect procurement areas as needed. This role partners closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to drive value through effective supplier selection, contract negotiations, and spend optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing activities including RFPs, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier onboarding
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize cost, cash flow, and supplier performance
- Analyze and track spend to identify savings opportunities and value‑creation initiatives
- Partner cross‑functionally to understand business needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly
- Manage supplier performance through SLAs and KPIs to support ongoing and future negotiations
- Support global sourcing efforts, including clinical trial‑related services, as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive procurement experience, including strategic sourcing, cost modeling, and category management
- Strong experience in indirect/services procurement; global clinical trial sourcing experience preferred
- Pharma, biotech, or life sciences experience with knowledge of drug development processes strongly desired
- Proven negotiation skills with strong business and financial acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders
- CPM or CPSM certification is a plus

- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
