Developing, managing, implementing, and leading strategic sourcing opportunities to improve the organization's overall financial position
Contributes to the execution of procurement and sourcing strategies through negotiating complex contractual agreements, category management, key stakeholder management, supplier management, and managing cross-functional projects
Leverages market intelligence and industry knowledge to lead major initiatives and RFx processes
Works closely with stakeholders to identify critical business requirements and manage the status of sourcing activities
Provides insights on mitigating risk, forecasting demand, and optimizing value within the sourcing process
Responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost, and competitive advantages
Engages with stakeholders to optimize supplier selection and drive cost reduction initiatives
Leads major projects including RFx development, bid process oversight, negotiations, and contract execution
Collaborates with business stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies and enhance contract performance
Plans and communicates project status to maintain stakeholder relationships and identify strategic opportunities
Develops comprehensive category strategies and stays informed about industry trends and emerging technologies
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration; or equivalent work experience
7+ Years in Supply Chain, Sourcing, Procurement, Vendor Management, or related functions
Experience negotiating and managing sourcing agreements
Experience developing and executing sourcing strategies
Experience managing US government procurements in the healthcare industry (preferred)
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Comprehensive knowledge of procurement/sourcing policies and regulations
Effective negotiation and influencing skills across various categories
Familiarity with contract lifecycle management and external sourcing/acquisition requirements
Technical competence with P2P and contract management software applications
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in ambiguous and time-sensitive environmentsEffective relationship management skills: ability to build and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Concise and confident written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to acquire, organize, and synthesize financial data to identify key findings.
Preferred: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) - ISM
