Job SummaryIs responsible for the production of high quality sonograms in an efficient manner while assuming responsibility for the safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients while they are in the sonographer's care. Analyzes sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician. Has a full knowledge of the equipment utilized for diagnostic Ultrasound as well as software and computer systems used to maintain patient information and diagnostic images (PACS).RequirementsPreferred Associate's DegreePreferred High School Diploma Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography ProgramLess than 2 years current overview and knowledge of operations within a hospital or outpatient Ultrasound Department.

Solid foundation of knowledge regarding all diagnostic medical ultrasound systems and exams.Required:RDMS - SonographerCPR - AHA Healthcare ProviderRVT - Registered Vascular TechSpecific RequirementsMust be flexible with work assignments. Must have good communications skills to orally and visually communicate with patients, staff, and physicians. Must be accurate with details and willing to learn.
