Sonographer OB GYN Maternal Fetal Care Center Froedtert Hospital

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Froedtert Hospital Facility. This is an on‑site position, full‑time equivalent 0.80, with standard hours of 32.00 per week. Shift 1: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. No weekends or holidays.

Job Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist administers ultrasound procedures to pregnant patients, operates ultrasound equipment, prepares patient rooms, equipment and supplies. The position requires assisting with invasive procedures (amniocentesis), Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, high-detail Level 2 ultrasounds, and anatomy surveys.

Experience

One year of current clinical experience is preferred.

Education

Graduate or student in a program accredited by CHEA, USDOE or CMA, specifically for diagnostic medical ultrasound/sonography. An associate or bachelor’s degree in ultrasound/sonography is preferred. Substantial training and current clinical experience with ARDMS registry will be accepted.

Special Skills

Proficient with ultrasound equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment. Familiarity with McKesson PACS, Epic EMR preferred.

Licensure

Newly hired or experienced sonographers must be registry eligible through the ARDMS. Must be registered in OB/GYN and Fetal Echo and certified in Nuchal Translucency. A one‑time competency assessment in cervical length evaluation is required for those not previously credentialed. Registrations and certifications must be completed every 9 months until all are obtained. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or an equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
