Job Summary:
Join our premier cardiac center in Morristown, NJ, where we prioritize patient comfort and satisfaction. As a key team member, you'll perform ultrasound procedures, ensuring patients are at ease and informed. Your expertise will be critical in preparing and monitoring patients, reviewing prior reports, and ensuring comprehensive studies with accurate imaging techniques.
Duties:
- Prepare patients for examinations, focusing on comfort and satisfaction.
- Explain procedures clearly and monitor patients throughout the process.
- Set up equipment efficiently for timely procedures.
- Review prior reports and maintain thorough records and logs.
- Ensure proper images are obtained and studies are complete.
- Maintain inventory and purchase supplies for the assigned area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experienced in performing high-quality Adult Echo studies per ASE & IAC Guidelines.
- Inpatient echo work experience with a minimum of 200 documented cases.
- Proficient in valvular assessment with strong Doppler and Pedoff skills.
- Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to critical findings.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience with TEE and Stress Echo.
- Familiarity with 3D echo imaging and various cardiac protocols.
- Proficiency with Philips ie33 and Epiq systems.
- Familiarity with Epic hospital information system.
Applicants must have experience scanning severe to critical aortic stenosis patients who will receive a TAVR device. This is essential for consideration.
