SonographerThe Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging procedures to provide the interpreting Radiologist with accurate diagnostic information. This role includes gathering relevant patient history, ensuring high-quality imaging, maintaining equipment, and supporting patient comfort and safety throughout the exam process. This position is PRN.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for performing all patient ultrasound imaging procedures.Gathers patient history data and completes worksheets with exam findings for Radiologist.Performs general upkeep and housekeeping of exam rooms.Assists with imaging center workflow by helping with general duties as deemed necessary (burn discs with images etc.)Complete patient workups prior to scheduled appointments, including obtaining prior records, preparing charts, and verifying that orders and diagnoses are accurate and complete.Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, radiologists, and clinic staffTrain new Ultrasound technologists and/or support staffDocument patient cancellations and relevant updates in the patient chartCharacteristicsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsMaintains confidentiality and professionalismKnowledge of infection control and clinical safety practicesCompassionate, patient-centered, and service-orientedOrganized, efficient, and able to multitask effectivelyQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentAssociate's degree or equivalent experienceActive ARDMS or ARRT(S) certificationCurrent CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification1–2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience preferredPhysical RequirementsSitting: OccasionallyStanding: FrequentlyWalking: FrequentlyCarrying/Lifting: Occasionally (up to 35 pounds)Stooping/Kneeling: FrequentlyOther: N/A
