Job Description
Performs high quality and accurate diagnostic ultrasound images. Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Maintains ultrasound equipment in optimum working condition. Applies knowledge of emergency protocols and procedures, and proper equipment utilization to maximize safety in the work environment.
Schedule: Casual - a minimum of 1 shift a pay period. 1 weekend every 12-14 weeks and 1 possible holiday a year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Medical Sonography or equivalent
- Must be willing to participate in continuing education to remain current on technical advances as they occur.
- Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- Must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Registered in RDMS and RVT within 6 months of hire required.
- Must maintain current CPR skills.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have a strong anatomy and physiology background.
- Ability to assess results, problem solve, and use independent judgment.
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
- Must have proven ability to operate the following safely and efficiently: Ultrasound equipment, Fax, Telephone, PC, Printer, and Photocopier.
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Additional specialized training or at least one year of ultrasound experience preferred.
