Job Summary:
Provide overall technical leadership and guidance for a program for the US Army. Join an existing team successfully modernizing and sustaining a cloud native program. The Solutions Engineer assists with evaluating, determining, prioritizing and assigning activities across the technical team. The focus is on rollout of new changes and architecture improvements to support Army operations.
Job Duties:
- Lead engineering, design and technical security activities and support the rest of the team
- Support security posture of the application
- Managing CI/CD pipelines
- Work with senior developer in planning releases
- Lead infrastructure design and implementation
- Oversee technical requirements and their execution
Required Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE AWS certified Solutions Architect, professional
- Must live in National Capital Region
- Ability to develop application code in the application stack
- Experience with databases
- Experience with JBoss, Angular, Java, SpringBoot and Linux
- Experience with large data infrastructure systems and deployments particularly through Terraform or similar
- Ability to produce graphics and written documentation for the system
- Ability to lead meetings and discussions with client teams, other programs and internally
- Experience with intelligence community (desired)
- Excellent business communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Discipline to complete tasks while working remotely or telecommuting
- DoD background (desired)
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s in Information Technology, computer science, project management or related field. The equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
- Qualifying DoD 8570.01m Certification (IAT-II) (e.g., Security +)
- More than 3 years of experience providing IT support services
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $200,000-$250,000 Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
