Solutions Architect (React, Node.js, C#/.NET)

Position: Solutions Architect (React, Node.js, C#/.NET)

Location: Raleigh, NC area

Role type: Contract to hire (C2C not available)

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to guide the technical direction of a growing portfolio of customer-facing software products and the platforms that support them. This person will work across product and engineering teams to establish architecture standards, shape technology decisions, and help deliver scalable, secure applications.

The right candidate has a strong software engineering foundation and has spent several years leading architecture across multiple products and teams, beyond ownership of a single application.

What You’ll Do

• Define architecture strategy and technical standards across customer-facing applications and supporting platforms.
• Lead design reviews and guide decisions involving web applications, APIs, integrations, and distributed services.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and executive stakeholders on technology direction and roadmaps.
• Guide frontend and backend architecture while balancing delivery needs with long-term maintainability.
• Shape cloud architecture for scalability, reliability, security, and operational readiness.
• Evaluate AI-enabled development practices and product capabilities, and help teams adopt them effectively.
• Mentor engineers and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to both technical and business audiences.

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years in architecture roles.
• At least 3 years leading architecture direction, standards, or governance across multiple products, systems, and teams.
• Experience architecting commercial software products used by external customers.
• Strong background in modern web application and API architecture, including JavaScript or TypeScript ecosystems.
• Experience with frontend architecture, backend services, microservices, and integration patterns.
• Cloud architecture experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Ability to work closely with engineering teams while influencing decisions at the organizational level.
• Practical experience using AI tools in software development and sound judgment about where they add value.

Experience with React, Node.js, C#/.NET, SaaS platforms, or AI-enabled product features is especially relevant.

The annual salary range upon conversion to FTE for this position is $180,000-190,000. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
