HCLTech is looking for a highly talented and self- motivated Solutions Java Architect to join it in advancing the technological world through innovation and creativity.

Job Title: Solutions Java Architect

Role/Responsibilities

1. Design and architect scalable, resilient, and high-performance solutions using microservices

2. Good knowledge on Event driven Architecture and Database

3. Lead the development of cloud migration strategies and modernization roadmaps

5. Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance our cloud infrastructure

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives

7. Mentor junior architects and engineers on cloud best practices

8. Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle

Qualifications & Experience

1. 15+ years of experience in modern application architecture, with at least 5 years focused on cloud solutions

2. Expert-level knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS)

3. Extensive experience designing and implementing Java microservices-based architectures

4. Design, deploy, and manage Kafka clusters in on-premises and/or cloud environments.

5. Must have strong knowledge of database technologies, both relational and NoSQL

6. Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

7. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

8. Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architectures

9. Knowledge of API design and management

10. Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements

11. Experience with distributed systems and their associated challenges

12. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to architect solutions for complex business requirements

13. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

14. Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus

15. Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools for microservices environments

16. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies

Desired Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification is a plus
• Modernization/migration initiatives
• Modern architecture, or deployment plan for modern applications

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $91,000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $185,000 per year

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year
