Designs end-to-end solutions across Azure, enterprise systems, data, integration, and AI enablement. Owns architecture integrity from concept through implementation, balancing security, maintainability, cost, and real-world operating constraints. This person must be credible in ERP-heavy environments and able to support ERP evaluation with architectural due diligence.
- Azure architecture across identity, networking, security, integration, and data services
- Enterprise integration patterns and pragmatic systems design
- Data platform and analytics design, including AI readiness patterns
- Architecture communication that works for engineers and executive stakeholders
- Strong bias toward operability, maintainability, and documentation
- Familiarity with AI enabled developed (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, etc.)
Technical Background
Must have
- Deep Azure experience: identity and access, networking, security baseline, integration approaches, and data platform components.
- Ability to evaluate and compare ERP architecture pathways without anchoring to one vendor or one "preferred pattern".
Bonus if having
- Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) integration, reporting, and modernization constraints.
- Familiarity with NEOGOV or similar HR/workforce workflow systems.
ERP Evaluation Experience
- Has supported ERP evaluations by producing the technical lens: integration complexity, data migration strategy, security model, reporting approach, cutover feasibility, and supportability.
- Can articulate hidden cost drivers: interface sprawl, customization debt, master data issues, duplicated reporting, and operating model gaps.
