About the Role Xanfab is seeking a Soldering Technician to support our PCB assembly (PCBA) production through hands-on soldering, assembly, and rework work. This role plays a key part in maintaining build quality and inventory accuracy on the production floor. The ideal candidate brings hands-on soldering experience, strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and thrives in a dynamic production environment where their contributions are visible and directly add value.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform assembly, rework, and repair of small electrical sub-assemblies in accordance with work instructions, IPC standards, and
drawings set forth by the Production Manager Maintain status and traceability of component inventory using configuration management tools Keep internal documentation organized and up to date Contribute to our continuous improvement culture Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Current IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001, Class 3 (aerospace/high-reliability) certification required; candidates with lapsed certification and
demonstrated equivalent experience may be considered pending re-certification Minimum 1 years of experience in a PCBA manufacturing environment Soldering and desoldering of through-hole and SMT components, including use of microscope, fine-pitch soldering, and
rework/modification Ability to interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and bills of materials (BOMs) Familiarity with ANSI/ESD S20.20 electrostatic discharge (ESD) control requirements Exceptional attention to detail Basic computer proficiency (work order logging, MES/ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with J-STD-033C and other IPC standards Excellent communication skills written and verbal Critical thinker who requires minimal supervision to complete tasks Kitting experience Computer experience/operation (Microsoft Office)
Additional Requirements Ability to work day shift, with occasional overtime and weekend work as business needs require Regular presence on the production floor; ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift 25lbs (fixtures, tooling, equipment) ITAR- To conform to U.S. Government International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent
resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the
U.S. Department of State
