To support a growing solar project portfolio, the contract Solar Project Estimator will manage project estimations from conception through execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards while working remotely. Key responsibilities Oversee all assigned solar project estimations, collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to define engineering requirements Coordinate with external engineers and suppliers to secure resources and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations Support project commissioning activities and manage long lead material orders to minimize risks and budget overruns Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering preferred 7+ years of experience in substation design and engineering for high voltage projects highly preferred Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience with a strong bias for action PMP and/or P.E. in a related discipline is a plus Interest in project estimating for candidates right out of college with relevant engineering degrees
