About the Company – Jobba Trade Technologies is a cloud-based SaaS that helps commercial roofing companies integrate communication between the field team and back-office team members to provide effective job management with an engaging customer experience. About the Role - We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the designing and building of highly scalable, cloud-native applications. Design and build services and distributed systems using cloud-native architectures aligned to Domain Driven Design principles. Conduct data modeling and schema design (normalization, ER diagrams, OLAP vs. Define data contracts and API designs (OpenAPI, Protobuf, AsyncAPI).
Serve as a technical leader within your team, guiding architectural decisions and mentoring junior developers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with the Product team and customers to understand requirements and implement them as working software.
Agile & CI/CD: As a team member you will actively participate in the Agile software development lifecycle. You will contribute to test automation, define and develop infrastructure-as-code, and ensure robust, automated builds and deployments at an enterprise scale.
A Hands-On Developer: You are a highly skilled, hands-on developer with a strong foundation in object-oriented design and development.
A Technical Leader & Communicator: You have a history of leading technical initiatives and are an effective teacher, able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
A Pragmatic Problem-Solver: You understand and apply Agile principles in a pragmatic way and have a track record of learning and implementing new software development practices, tools, and languages.
Proficiency in C#.
Relational databases and SQL.
NoSQL databases (e.g., Cloud architecture and development (Azure preferred).
NET 8 or above, .NET Framework 4.8, WCF, and Entity Framework 6.
Implementing distributed systems incorporating Docker, Kubernetes, and related cloud infrastructure.
Event streaming platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hubs).
Datadog, Application Insights, OpenTelemetry).
Angular 2+.
Service Bus, Event Hubs, and Event Grid).
Azure data services (e.g., Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics).
Data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling).
Our Rosemont office offers convenient access to the Blue Line and major highways, along with ample space designed for a comfortable work environment. While we work primarily onsite (four days in-office, one remote), we understand the importance of life outside of work and offer flexibility to support our team.
