Role Overview

District Partners has been retained to help fill a key role with a dynamic healthcare SaaS company. This growing organization is revolutionizing patient transfer workflows and is seeking a Senior SaaS Engineer to contribute to their product and technical architecture.

We are looking for an experienced SaaS engineer with a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, from product design to system reliability engineering (SRE). This is an exciting opportunity to work on a modern product with minimal technical debt and to contribute to both the technology and the company's growth.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features, improving architecture and scalability.
• Balance maturing existing architecture with new feature development.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies.
• Contribute to product quality, usability, and security.
• Provide tier 3 support and contribute to non-product technical efforts (e.g., IT, security, compliance).

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in web-based SaaS solutions development and architecture.
• Strong backend web/API development skills (Node.js preferred).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency with REST APIs and JSON data formats.
• Knowledge of messaging systems and real-time communication technologies (e.g., WebSockets).
• Hands-on experience with AWS and SaaS operations.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of web application security principles.
• Experience with performance monitoring at code and infrastructure levels.
• Proven track record of scaling web-based SaaS products.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Experience

• Healthcare product experience, including HIPAA, FHIR, HL7.
• Knowledge of large language model (LLM) integration.
• Experience in regulated environments (PCI, HIPAA).
• IT security systems expertise (IDS, DLP, IAM).
• Experience with PWA and mobile client development.
• Knowledge of business intelligence systems.
• Experience in startups or small organizations.
