To leverage cutting-edge AI technology for software modernization, the full-time remote Software Modernization Engineer will analyze, refactor, and transform complex legacy codebases into modern cloud-based solutions while contributing to the organization's modernization strategy. Key Responsibilities Analyze and understand complex legacy mainframe codebases using generative AI tools to identify optimization opportunities Utilize AI for refactoring and re-architecting mainframe applications into modern languages and architectures Design and implement data migration strategies from legacy systems to modern databases or cloud platforms Required Qualifications Hands-on experience using LLMs through APIs (e.g., Claude, Gemini) Familiarity with different LLM architectures and prompt engineering techniques Technical experience with cloud computing, including designing and managing cloud-based solutions Cloud certifications in architecture, data engineering, and/or machine learning Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
