What you’ll do:
- Lead and develop a team of full‑stack Product Engineers
- Stay close to the codebase through code reviews, architecture, documentation, system design, and occasional hands‑on contribution
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and Operations across discovery, planning, and execution
- Improve engineering systems, team velocity, delivery processes, and developer experience
- Recruit, interview, onboard, coach, and grow engineers during a period of rapid scale
- Build products across adaptive learning, AI feedback, career matching, ranking algorithms, and LLM‑driven internal tools
What they’re looking for:
- 5+ years of professional level experience as a full‑stack software engineer, product engineer, or software/product‑focused engineer. Internships do not count toward this years of experience
- Bachelors degree in a Computer Science or Engineering discipline, Masters Degree preferred
- 2+ years of people management experience for EM level
- 5+ years of people management experience for Senior EM / Associate Director‑level profiles
- Experience managing teams of 5–10+ engineers
- Strong product engineering background with recent technical depth
- High‑growth startup experience strongly preferred
- Experience in EdTech, HealthTech, B2C, B2B2C, marketplace, healthcare, consumer, or mission‑driven product environments is desired
- Strong communication skills, leadership presence, and structured thinking
- Ability to connect engineering execution to business goals, customer outcomes, and student impact
This is not a hands‑off management role. The right person is a true product engineering leader who can lead people, stay technically credible, and help scale a mission‑driven engineering organization.
