Job Description
The WiFi AccessPoint team at Arista is responsible for end‑to‑end development of the Cloud‑managed WiFi product portfolio. The role focuses on building and delivering new access point features, ensuring high quality, and collaborating with sales, support, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand product requirements and design solutions.
- Design, develop, and deliver software for access points, including new features and firmware.
- Track emerging technologies and assess their impact on Arista products.
- Collaborate with sales and support to understand customer needs, address escalations, and promote new solutions.
- Engage in system‑level understanding of Wi‑Fi AP functionality and perform performance evaluations.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Strong engineering and Computer Science fundamentals.
- Minimum 3–15 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Experience developing applications or Linux drivers in a Linux environment.
Proven experience in any of the following:
- Network device drivers, operating system internals, kernel development, compilers, SOC architecture.
- User‑space development for connectivity products such as wireless LAN access points or controllers, covering areas such as HostAPD , portal, RADIUS, AAA, identity and role management, Radsec, tunnels, firewall, iptables, flow classification, QoS, TLS, DTLS.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Wi‑Fi device drivers on Linux.
- Hands‑on experience with one or more Wi‑Fi chipset platforms.
- Good system‑level understanding of wireless AP functionality.
- Experience developing Wi‑Fi features, system integration, and evaluating performance parameters.
