And our work depends on a Software Engineer (Sr. Principal) joining our team to support government activities at Chantilly, VA.GDIT is seeking an experienced Software Engineer Full Stack Developer to join our team of building scalable, maintainable and high-performance applications. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing application frontend and/or backend framework and technologies. At GDIT, people are our differentiator; as a Software Engineer, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.Required Skills:Demonstrated hands-on experience programming web and client/server applications using Java, Typescript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSSDemonstrated hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPADemonstrated hands-on experience with upgrading Spring boot, Hibernate/JPA especially from much older versions to newer versionsDemonstrated hands-on experience with frontend frameworks such a Vue, React, or AngularDemonstrated hands-on experience with database design and querying (SQL, Oracle)Demonstrated hands-on experience with version control such as Git (GitHub, Gitlab, etc.).Demonstrated hands-on experience building APIs and services using RESTExperience working in Agile development environmentAnalyzes user interfaces, maintain hardware and software performance tuning, analyzes workload and computer usage, maintain interfaces with outside systems, analyzes downtimes, analyzes proposed system modifications and upgrades.Defines the problem, and develops system requirements and program specifications, from which programmers prepare detailed flow charts, programs, and tests.Coordinates closely with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications.Develops, in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions.Demonstrated experience researching the latest technological developments in the relevant operating systems to identify impact on organization operating systems and to anticipate changes.Desired Skills:Demonstrated hands-on experience with Linux-based or Windows-based systems and shell scriptingDemonstrated experience with AWS or other cloud platformsDemonstrated hands-on experience with build automation technologies like Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, etc.Demonstrated experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Cypress)Demonstrated experience with ServiceNowFamiliarity with KubernetesWhat You'll Need To Succeed:Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.Experience: 10+ yearsLocation: Chantilly, VA (On Customer Site)US Citizenship RequiredGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn fromRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidaysThe likely salary range for this position is $159,774 - $216,166.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
