Software EngineerLocation: Annapolis Junction, MD Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph (must be within 7 years) Telework: Up to 16 hours per week (task-dependent)About the RoleWe're seeking a seasoned Software Engineer who thrives in complex, mission-driven environments. In this role, you'll design, develop, and enhance advanced software systems—from real-time processing tools to large-scale data solutions. You'll work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, contributing to system architecture, algorithm development, and high-performance software engineering.What You'll Work OnAnalyze user requirements and translate them into software design and performance specificationsDesign, develop, and modify software systems, including new features and enhancementsDebug and correct defects in existing softwareIntegrate software into new or updated systems and operating environmentsDevelop and optimize algorithms to meet strict performance and functional standardsBuild and refine database interfaces, queries, and data repositoriesWrite, review, and improve technical and system documentationAssist in developing and executing test procedures for software componentsConduct quality control reviews on team deliverablesProvide recommendations to improve documentation and development processesLead or mentor software development teams as appropriateCollaborate with system and hardware engineers to define requirements and understand system constraintsSupport software installation and monitor system performance to ensure operational readinessDesired Technical SkillsExperience with development in a Linux environmentC++Strong PythonExperience with DSP/RFDetailsTarget Salary Range: $160,000 - $272,000.

This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.What You Bring14+ years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs of similar scope and complexityBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (Four additional years of SWE experience may be substituted for the degree)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skillsExperience working with large-scale, real-time, or data-intensive systemsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and attention to detail
