Software Engineer (TS/SCI Clearance Required)North Point Technology is looking to hire a software developer to support NGA's geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) mission. The qualified candidate must have an active TS/SCI security clearance, and will help collect the sciences, technology, and tradecraft used to measure and model the globe, providing three-dimensional accuracy of every point in, on, or above the Earth. The ideal candidate has an excellent understanding of software development concepts and exceptional coding skills across a range of modern tools and frameworks in support of the mission.This program requires employees to have an active TS/SCI clearance.Responsibilities:This position involves coding, developing, integrating, and debugging software artifacts in support of innovative geospatial solutions.
Duties will include writing validation tests against existing baselines to ensure code integrity throughout Agile development efforts, assisting with unit testing, programming, and developing in Python, Java Spring, and other modern frameworks.Required Skills/Experience:Proficient in software development and integration projects within a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web Services)Experience working with GNU-based compilersHands-on programming experience in C++, Java, TypeScript, and BashDevelopment experience with Spring/Gradle/OpenJDK and React/Node frameworksHands-on experience with relational and non-relational database systems such as Amazon RDS and PostgresStrong coding experience in PythonExperience using GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and resource managementExperience using Docker to package and run applicationsExperience with web-related protocols and technologies, including web servers, HTTP, and SSLFamiliarity with AWS and cloud technologiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with team collaboration tools such as Jira and ConfluencePreferred Skills/Experience:Previous experience supporting the NGA customerProficiency in AWS and cloud technologiesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multi-task effectively, and work both independently and as part of a teamQualifications:Active Top Secret/SCI security clearanceDoD 8570-compliant certification (e.g., Security+)Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degreeNorth Point Technology is the best place to work for curious-minded engineers motivated to support our country's most crucial missions!
