Working remotely, the full-time Software Engineer, Strategic Projects will collaborate with product-minded engineers to develop and stabilize prototypes into production-grade products, ensuring high code quality and operational rigor. Key Responsibilities Partner with engineers to shape prototypes for production readiness, focusing on reliability and maintainability Co-own the transition from prototype to stable production, emphasizing error handling and observability Integrate Tailscale with reference customers, ensuring security and operational practices are upheld in production Required Qualifications Experience in hardening and maintaining production software, with a focus on detail-oriented work Proficiency in Go and familiarity with integrating third-party APIs and basic networking Extensive use of coding agents and LLMs in engineering workflows, with insights on their integration into review and testing practices Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote startup environment with shifting priorities Experience in collaborating closely with exploratory, product-minded engineers
