Software Engineer/DeveloperThe Software Engineer/Developer is responsible for the software design, coding, verification, and validation of software applications for both current and future products. The candidate should have a passion for software development and a sense of ownership that will lead to the development of next generation products. This position works closely with mechanical, electronic, and systems engineering resources to develop and demonstrate product architectures.Essential FunctionsWork as part of a multi-disciplinary development team including mechanical, electronics, and systems engineers to develop system and subsystem softwareDerive system requirements from customer functional requirements and performance specificationsAnalyze and decompose system requirements to define key performance characteristicsParticipate in System Modeling definition with firm understanding of system boundaries, interfaces, behaviors, and states and modesParticipate in system level trade studies and analysisIntegrate and test products in a System Integration Lab, or Hardware-in-the-Loop environmentAssist in development and execution of subsystem and system level qualification testingAnalyze and optimize system performance and manage upgradesDefine and support formal verification and validation for product launchSupport the VP Engineering by performing other assigned dutiesSupervisory ResponsibilityNoneMinimum QualificationsEducation/ExperienceB.S.
