Software EngineerLocation: Houston, TX (hybrid)Duration: 8+ MonthsAccountabilities:• Act as a key business enabler for regional assets and their users to get value from Real Time data• Maintain an active, knowledgeable, and productive community through formal and informal training, user forums, and execution of Proof's of Concepts• Facilitate effective use of the OSIsoft and other Real Time tools within existing business workflows by acting as a functional expert• Identify and shape new business opportunities to use the Real Time data and technology and design updated work flows to deliver incremental value• Translate and shape business needs into requirements and plans for the supporting IT teams to implement• Ensure smooth and efficient use of the IT and Operations teams by facilitating local enhancement projects, maintaining a list of key local issues, and supporting escalations• Guide and Support other team members to create excellence in delivery• Align team targets to business goals and focus on team efforts (Bottom Line)• Engage with business and IT stakeholders to ensure requirements and scope are clear• Engage with your peers in PI Centre of Excellence (PI CoE) to ensure architectural standardization for the OSIsoft PI application suite• Coordinate activities with other product teams that comprise the connected portfolio of applications consuming or generating data from Real Time landscape Dimensions:• Excellent English communication skills required for engagement with global business and IT focal points with diverse skillsets and Perspectives• Strong relationship/stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels in a culturally diverse organization• Strong pro-active and pragmatic approach to problem solving recognizing the unique needs to assets and balancing that with global strategic directions• Better collaboration between Teams and within Team to get faster and quality solutions• Better way of showcasing and managing contents to share with Stakeholders – PI Portals• Proactive and self-motivated, committed to achieving deadlines and successful stakeholder management• Takes ownership of actions and follows through to completion by agreed due dates• Able to work independently or as part of a larger team• Demonstrable ability to multi-task and able to set priorities and manage workloads in a continuous changing and dynamic environment• Excellent organizational and time management skills• Recognize risks and take appropriate action to mitigate risks which could impact project delivery with appropriate escalation when required• Analytic ability in order to research technical issues and generate creative/innovative solutionsSkills and Requirements:• Significant experience in deployment of OSIsoft PI suite of applications (Relevant hands on minimum experience for at least 5 years in tools like PI Vision, AF, Processbook)• Understanding and experience of working with IT Support processes for large landscape IT platforms• Business analysis skills and 3+ years of experience defining and shaping business requirements• Good knowledge of AMS monitoring and surveillance processes and how these are applied in the assets.
