Software Engineer - Software Defined Networking (SDN) (Fully Remote)

  • Assess, harden, test, and modernize a government-provided software-defined networking baseline.
  • Work directly with source code, build systems, dependencies, runtime behavior, and test suites.
  • Diagnose complex issues across application, Linux, and network boundaries.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the technical assessment of the SDN codebase, including architecture, build process, security posture, and upstream relationships.
  • Design and implement secure, maintainable changes and develop trustworthy tests across multiple levels.
  • Partner with platform engineers on container readiness, CI/CD, deployment workflows, and automated security scanning.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with C++, Python, and Bash scripting.
  • Strong Linux and networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, and traffic analysis.
  • Active US Government SECRET security clearance or higher.
