Seeking a full-time remote Software Engineer - SDN, the candidate will manage the assessment, hardening, testing, and modernization of a Government-provided software-defined networking baseline capability while collaborating with platform engineers and stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and operation in Navy environments. Key responsibilities: Own the technical assessment of the SDN codebase, focusing on architecture, build process, and security posture Design and implement secure changes to remediate vulnerabilities and improve resilience Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies for hardening and modernization changes Required qualifications: 5+ years of software engineering experience with proficiency in C++, Python, and Bash scripting Strong fundamentals in Linux and networking, including TCP/IP and routing Experience with secure software development practices and vulnerability management Demonstrated testing discipline across unit, integration, and regression testing U.S. citizenship and ACTIVE US Government SECRET security clearance or higher
