To support the development of integrated payment solutions, the full-time Software Engineer, Payment APIs will design, build, and scale customer-facing payment APIs while maintaining high-volume production systems and leading complex projects from design through production. Key responsibilities Design, build, maintain, and scale customer-facing payment APIs with reliable contracts and predictable behavior Lead complex engineering projects, clarifying requirements, planning incremental delivery, and ensuring ongoing maintenance Operate critical payment systems, participating in on-call rotations and improving system reliability through incident response and preventive engineering Required qualifications Experience building, maintaining, and scaling customer-facing financial or payment APIs Strong understanding of high-volume distributed systems with a focus on correctness, security, and reliability Proficiency in handling payment API concerns such as idempotency, retries, and asynchronous processing Record of leading engineering projects from unclear requirements through production Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
