Hybrid Full Time Staffing and Recruiting

Software Engineer (Python / Databricks)

New York, hybrid (3 days onsite) | $350M-funded Physical AI | $160,000 - $180,000

Build the bridge between the physical world and AI.

Everyone wants AI to run their supply chain. But AI is only as good as its data, and most companies still don't really know where their products are. They rely on manual scans at a handful of checkpoints and are effectively blind in between. This scale-up are changing that.

What they do

They combine wireless sensors with a cloud data and AI platform to give enterprises continuous, real-time visibility of their products: where they are, whether they're moving, and what condition they're in.

Why you'll want this role

  • Serious scale. Terabytes of data and hundreds of millions of events processed every day, and growing fast.
  • Household-name customers. Live deployments with some of the world's largest enterprises.
  • Well funded, backed by top-tier global investors, and moving from breakthrough to large-scale rollout.
  • Repeat founders with a previous successful exit.
  • An engineering lead from Palantir, who runs the team with high autonomy, low bureaucracy and real ownership.
  • Small team, big impact. One of a handful of engineers, with a real say in what gets built.
  • Your code touches the real world. It helps keep shelves stocked, shipments on track and operations running smoothly.

What you'll do

This is a software engineering role first, about 70% hands-on coding, with the customer exposure that makes it far more interesting than a typical backend job.

  • Build for customers: turn real enterprise problems into working software, from data pipelines to APIs and applications
  • Work directly with customers: join calls, understand what's happening on the ground, and shape the solution
  • Improve the platform: dive into existing codebases and data systems, and make them faster and more scalable
  • Work in a focused project team alongside a forward deployed lead who owns the customer relationship, while you own the build
  • Write well-tested, production-grade code and help improve CI/CD and engineering practices

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years in software or data engineering. Exceptional people with less experience and a strong CS or engineering background are welcome too.
  • Strong Python, especially for data-heavy work
  • SQL and PySpark / Spark
  • Cloud experience, ideally AWS
  • Comfortable in front of a customer: you explain technical ideas clearly and care about the "why" behind a problem
  • Happy picking up code you didn't write and making it better

Bonus points (not required): Databricks, Kafka or streaming, an electrical or computer engineering background, IoT, telemetry, logistics or supply chain experience, forward-deployed or consulting experience, Docker / Kubernetes.

Fast, respectful process

  1. Intro call with our talent team (20 mins)
  2. Live Python coding session with two future teammates (1 hr)
  3. One "super day": technical interview with the engineering lead plus a leadership conversation, back to back

Target: offer within two weeks.
