In this role, you will serve as a key engineering team member to help advance Wellmark’s Marketing Technology ecosystem. The marketing platform leverages AWS-based services and best-in-class SaaS solutions to deliver enterprise capabilities including content management, digital asset management, customer journey personalization, customer journey analytics, and workflow management.

This role also partners closely with marketing stakeholders to shape the roadmap and evolution of the platform, championing innovation and modern engineering practices to deliver high-quality, business-driven solutions.

Job Leveling Note

Based on background, skills, and abilities this role can be filled at either the Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer level. Please apply if you have the minimum experience or much more experience.

Preferred:

• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager
• Experience working within an Agile team environment
• Full Stack Development Experience
• Knowledge of AWS services design patterns, CDK a plus
• Understanding of web performance optimization techniques
• CI/CD and Unit Testing

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field of study and at least 1 year of software development experience (ex. Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript, C#, etc.) OR 5+ years of related and applicable experience.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills. Accuracy and high attention to detail.Previousexperiencetroubleshooting and developing creative technical solutions.
• Strong ability to gather information, perform necessary research needed for root cause analysis, problem definition and formulation, recommend solution implementation, verification, and ongoing optimization, using data to support recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties. Ability to communicate key informationin a timely mannerto theappropriate stakeholderaudience with the ability to adjust communication style that will best suit the audience.
• Ability to communicate with and coach/mentor team members, while setting an example inmaintaininga positive attitude, staying calm under pressure, being approachable, and respectfuland taking responsibility when needed.
• Ability to thrive infast-paced environment with changing priorities. Excellent organizational skills. Strong time management skills with the ability to set and meet establishedtimeframeswith little direction, while assuring data and information integrity.

a. Provide development and/or production support for key software applications and systems. Define, analyze, estimate, develop, test, implement, document, andmaintainprograms and systems that meet business requirements.

b. Contribute tosolutionsarchitecture deliverables and decisions, through interpretation of architectural diagrams as inputs to the design deliverable. Apply the reference architecture, contribute to reusable assets, and produce technical specifications sufficient for development teams.

c. Partner and problem-solve with the UX team in the development of solutions that improve the user experience, pass minimum accessibility or usability criteria.

d. Work to resolve technical problemsfor onpremise, cloud native, and hybrid applications and solutions.

e. Support the gathering of information, necessary research needed for root cause analysis, problem definition and formulation, solution implementation, verification, and ongoing optimization. Provide analysis of defects to find root cause.

f. Provide recommended solution(s) that promote successful delivery of business projectobjectivesor production supportobjectivesand support benefits realization.

g. Identifyissues and think through challenges in the form of options and solutions. Partner with others toidentifyresolutions to known issues, impactstoproject or production outcomes if not resolved, and determinewhen to elevate when necessary.

h. Communicateand provide regular updates and key informationin a timely mannerto leadership as well as theappropriate stakeholderaudience. Collaborate and work as a team toaccomplishgoals and/or solve problems.
