Software EngineerThe Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications that support business and operational needs.

The role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions. The Software Engineer applies engineering best practices, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise to ensure reliable system performance and continuous improvement.Technical Design & DevelopmentDesign, develop, test, and deploy software applications using appropriate programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices.System Analysis & Problem SolvingAnalyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects, performance issues, and system failures.Quality & TestingEnsure application quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews. Participate in continuous integration and deployment processes to maintain system reliability.CollaborationWork closely with product managers, QA engineers, designers, and other developers to deliver integrated solutions. Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.Security & ComplianceFollow secure coding practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies, data privacy standards, and industry regulations.DocumentationCreate and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, APIs, and user guides to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.Continuous ImprovementEvaluate emerging technologies and contribute to system enhancements, performance optimization, and technical innovation.ProfessionalismDemonstrate accountability, ownership, and commitment to high-quality software delivery. Engage in continuous learning, technical upskilling, and knowledge sharing with peers.Key Success FactorsStrong knowledge of software development principles, data structures, and algorithmsProficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, etc.)Experience with databases, APIs, and modern application architecturesFamiliarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelinesUnderstanding of software security, performance optimization, and scalabilityStrong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentGeneral computer skills including development tools, documentation systems, and issue-tracking platformsEducation & Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)2+ years of professional software development experienceExperience working in agile or fast-paced development environments
