Software Engineer

Salary: $100,000 - 160,000 per year

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Strong Python proficiency and experience building maintainable applications
• Experience developing graphical user interfaces with Qt or a similar framework
• Experience connecting software with hardware, instruments, or external systems
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including design patterns, modular design, abstraction, testing, debugging, and maintainability
• Experience working with databases and structured data
• A systematic approach to problem-solving and debugging
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently
• Preferred: experience developing production, manufacturing, testing, or diagnostic applications
• Preferred: experience developing applications in C on Linux
• Preferred: experience with Git, JIRA, and collaborative software development tools
• Preferred: experience with AWS or another cloud platform
• Preferred: experience with automated testing or validation systems
• Preferred: familiarity with AI/LLM tools, agents, or workflow automation

• Develop Python applications with intuitive graphical interfaces for production, engineering, and customer use
• Build software to configure, monitor, test, and diagnose hardware products
• Integrate applications with databases and existing company systems
• Create automated testing, diagnostic, and production-support tools
• Test, debug, document, and release reliable, maintainable software
• Partner with production and QA staff to establish procedures and train users on software tools
• Collaborate with firmware, electrical, production, and software engineers
• Develop automation and AI-assisted tools to improve engineering workflows and productivity
