Software Engineer - Junior Level


Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Backend Software Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible to:

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions under guidance

Collaborate with senior engineers and team leads to implement features and resolve technical challenges

Analyze user requirements to support software design and performance objectives

Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

Assist with design and code reviews to ensure quality and consistency

Troubleshoot and debug software issues across the development lifecycle

Contribute to documentation, testing, and continuous improvement efforts

Work on well-defined problems of moderate scope with guidance from senior team members

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required or four (4) years of software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.


Required Qualifications:


Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

Experience assisting with development & execution of test procedures for software components

Experience with generating & reviewing software/technical documentation

Experience working in an Agile software development environment

Experience using with Jira and Confluence

Ensuring quality control of all developed and modified software

Experience with the following technologies:

Git


Java, C++, and/or Python


Relational database, such as Postgres



Desired Qualifications:


Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Experience with:

Docker/Kubernetes


HAProxy


Nginx


Elastic Stack



Telework/Remote Availability:
Hybrid work authorized, up to 16 hours per week, depending on team and workload

Work Location(s):
Annapolis Junction, MD

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$98,000 - $123,000
