Breaking Ground's programs and services help people experiencing street homelessness - especially those who have been on the streets the longest - to come indoors. Through our Street to Home outreach program and transitional housing resources, we help people get, and stay, on the path to a permanent home.Reporting to the Assistant Director, Software Engineering the Software Engineer Intern builds tools to enhance the work of Breaking Ground. The Intern works closely with departments across the organization to support our program and housing needs.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Contribute to project development for mapping toolsCollaborate with the software engineering team to design and build useful and maintainable toolsCreate scalable, documented, and tested code that is accurate and securePerform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentExperience building and maintaining web applicationsProficiency in C#, JavaScript, Python, SQL, SQL Server, ASP.NET MVC Web Framework, Git Version Control, Microsoft Azure SuiteProficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft TeamsAbility to understand and problem solve across a variety of challengesGood communication skills; ability to work with non-technical stakeholdersEOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled
