Mid Or Senior-Level Software EngineerWe seek a mid or senior-level software engineer with an existing DoD security clearance to support the NCRC Eglin Site Services effort to enhance and transform NCRC Enterprise software, tools and hardware. This position will work with a team of engineers within the Government facility at Eglin AFB, FL.Responsibilities include:Provide support to the Modernization of NCRCImproving and streamlining processes toward DevSecOps and CI/CD paradigmsDesigning and enhancing the NCRC architecture with modern technologiesRe-assessing and increasing NCRC capabilitiesOperate as a developer on an associated NCRC product scrum teamDevelop unit tests for development assignments and support integration testing effortsPerforms coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development processEvaluates, analyzes, and modifies moderately complex application programsTroubleshoots production problems related to software applicationsAddresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platformsWorks on most phases of applications programming activitiesAnalyzes and resolves problems associated with applicationsDetects, diagnoses, and reports related problemsContributes to moderately complex aspects of a projectRequirements include:Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering with 7 to 12 years of work-related experienceKnowledge of software development to include agile software development practices; programming languages; operating systems; networks; enterprise and consumer IT concepts, architectures, and systems (compute, network, storage)Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, TFTP, DNS, FTP, etc.Knowledge of one or more of the following: MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, andExperience in applying Lean software principles (Agile, Spiral, Waterfall)Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworksKnowledge of node.js, express server-side web developmentProficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3Strong understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAXExperience developing unit tests and contributing to integration testsAbility to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environmentA self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented individualExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience with cyber testing or training to include knowledge of defensive and offensive cyber tools and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) a plusCurrent Secret clearance with the ability to pass comprehensive background check to obtain TS/SCI.
