Software Engineer III – National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC)
Join the Information Technology Group of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) in a full‑time hybrid‑remote role focused on the deployment and maintenance of the CI/CD pipeline for application development. Residency within 100 miles of the Kansas City, Missouri office is required.
Pay
Base pay: $80,000.00/yr – $105,000.00/yr. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities
- Develop applications based on business and technical requirements.
- Implement application design by using development languages and tools.
- Develop and execute unit tests for assigned projects.
- Ensure the code is scalable and meets performance requirements through performance tuning.
Management Responsibilities
This position does not have direct reports.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an associate's degree in applied science specific to Computer Science, plus five or more years related work experience, or an equivalent combination.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with statistics and statistical analysis.
- Analytical/technical writing experience.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts.
- Spring MVC or JSF.
- React.
- Oracle SQL.
- IntelliJ.
- Git (or other source code management tools).
- J2EE practices and design patterns and frameworks.
- Frontend and backend development.
- Microsoft 365.
- Slack.
- Jira.
Travel
Must be willing to travel throughout the United States as necessary.
Compensation
$80,000 - $105,000, commensurate with experience.
