Job TitleDesigning, developing, and integrating advanced machine-learning solutions and intelligent plugins for the Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) ecosystem, including TAKX extensions, Mission Command Platforms (MCPs), and associated APIsCreating scalable AI/ML pipelines, developing custom plugins, and configuring secure API services that enable real-time data fusion, analytics, and decision support for mission-critical operationsServing as the primary technical authority on AI/ML integration within the TAK environment and collaborating with government program officials, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure secure, performant, and compliant solutionsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited or CAE-designated institutionAt least one of the following DoD-approved baseline certifications or an equivalent recognized by the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework:Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)DoD-approved AI/ML certifications (e.g., DoD AI/ML Engineer, DoD IA/IA -M AI/ML).Minimum 2 years of progressive, full-time experience developing AI/ML models, APIs, and software plugins for mission-critical systems, with at least 1 years focused on the TAK/TAKX environment or comparable tactical platformsAbility to design, implement, and optimize AI/ML pipelines; develop and document secure APIs; integrate plugins with TAKX and MCPs; perform performance tuning; and troubleshoot production issues in high-availability environmentsDesired SkillsDeep understanding of the TAK ecosystem, TAKX plugin architecture, and Mission Command Platform (MCP) integration pointsProficiency in Python and Java for AI/ML model development, data processing, and API creationExperience with data streaming and messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalentFamiliarity with identity and access management solutions (e.g., Keycloak, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect) for securing APIs and plugin communicationsHands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines for rapid deployment of AI/ML servicesKnowledge of cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) and serverless compute (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions) as they relate to AI/ML workloadsAbility to produce technical documentation, API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger), and integration guides for both technical and non-technical audiencesProven track record in performance monitoring, logging, and observability of AI/ML services (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; capable of leading cross-functional work streams and delivering clear status reportsExperience mentoring junior engineers and fostering best practices in AI/ML development, testing, and securityPreferred additional certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or DoD-specific -M IA/IA C/IA E credentialsAbility to obtain and maintain higher-level clearance (Top Secret/SCI) as mission requirements evolveClearance InformationSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S.
