Software Engineer III
We are looking for a Software Engineer III to join our team.
How You Will Achieve Success
- Design, build, and maintain the backend services that power Spreetail's fulfillment operations—inventory management, order processing, carrier integrations, and exception handling.
- Own the reliability and correctness of transactional systems that fulfill‑center operations depend on every hour of every day.
- Lead technical design within your pod—driving architecture decisions, establishing patterns, and holding a high bar in code reviews.
- Identify and address systemic issues: performance bottlenecks, data consistency gaps, fragile integrations; debug and resolve production issues quickly with clear communication to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product managers and FC operations teams to translate operational requirements into sound software design. Mentor SE II engineers and raise overall engineering quality.
What Experiences Will Help You In This Role
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus. Deep proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem—designing, building, and maintaining production services independently.
- Familiarity with downstream ML pipelines (Python, dbt, Dagster).
- Experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with AI tooling (Claude Code) for development workflows.
- Proficient with AWS services—EKS, S3, SQS, EventBridge; CI/CD with GitLab pipelines and containerized deployments. Experience with mobile Android is a plus.
