Invariant Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer with 5 or more years of experience. The ideal candidate will work in a hands-on laboratory environment developing, integrating, and testing C/C++ software for embedded Linux platforms and missile-related systems, including missile test beds and hardware/software integration environments.

Duties Include

• Design, develop, debug, and integrate C/C++ software for embedded Linux systems
• Develop and support missile system test beds, hardware/software interfaces, and integration activities
• Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and system-level testing
• Use Azure DevOps, Agile practices, CI pipelines, and automated testing to manage software development and releases

Requirements

Candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in software design, development, and integration.

• Minimum Active Secret Clearance is required
• Strong proficiency writing clean, robust, and testable software in C/C++
• Experience developing, debugging, and integrating software on embedded Linux platforms
• Experience with missile systems, missile test beds, or missile-related software integration and testing
• Knowledge of DevOps and Agile software development processes, including source control, builds, and testing
• Experience integrating embedded software with hardware components and communication interfaces
• Experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues in laboratory and test environments
• Familiarity with software verification, validation, and system-level testing

Preferred Skills

• Top Secret clearance is preferred
• Experience with HIL/SIL test environments, simulation, or test instrumentation
• Experience with Python, Qt, real-time operating systems, or embedded debugging tools
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, cross-compilation, and embedded communication protocols
