Join us!Position Summary:The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing the web-based frontend for our Robotics products.
This role focuses on building and evolving a modern web application using Svelte and TypeScript that communicates with C++ backend services via gRPC. The platform also includes an existing Qt Widgets-based UI, and this person will contribute across both the web and Qt layers as needed. This person needs strong web development skills, an eye for design, and the ability to build responsive, performant, and accessible user interfaces. The position will be a hands-on one with the individual capable of creative and systematic product development with minimum supervision.Essential Functions:Developing prototypes, proofs of concept in addition to production-quality solutionsEnsuring efficient performance and scalability of solutionsDemonstrating a passion for software development, software craftsmanship, and test-driven developmentEffectively plan, track, and communicate software development efforts, either individually or as a teamUnderstanding of an FDA design control environmentContributing to designing, testing and documentation of software solutionsBuilding modern web applications using component-based architecturesDeveloping reusable UI components - Building responsive, accessible, and performant user interfacesContributing to the existing Qt Widgets-based UI as neededCollaborating with backend engineers on API contracts and data flowSupports manufacturing, internal testing, and external customers when presented with quality issues.
