The team brings together data, application development, and machine learning — including generative AI — along with data services and customer success functions, to help IS&T build solutions more efficiently and streamline the adoption and embedding of generative AI across Apple.DescriptionAs a Framework Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building various tools and features for Data and ML platforms, including data processing, insights portal, data observability, data lineage, model hub, and data visualization. You will either work on building custom solutions ground up or take open source products and customize them for Apple's needs.
We're looking for an individual who loves to take challenges, tackles problems with imaginative solutions, works well in collaborative teams, and can produce high-quality software under tight deadlines and constraints. This role involves building innovative tools and frameworks that can extend the functionality of 3rd party BI tools using APIs.Minimum Qualifications2+ years or more of hands-on proficiency with Java and/or Python or similar languageDeep understanding of data structures and algorithmsExperience designing and developing scalable & performant micro-services and Rest APIsKnowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or similarBachelor's degree in computer science or related fieldPreferred QualificationsStrong problem-solving skills and Excellent communication skillsExperience in building and deploying cloud-native applications/productsWorking experience with Big data technologies and data platformsFamiliarity in working with frontend frameworksHands-on experience with distributed computing technologiesExperience with SQL and NoSQL data storesPrior experience in the areas of AI/ML/Data Sciences will be a strong plusApple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
