DevOps EngineerThis position is an opportunity to play a significant role in supporting the technology needs of our clients Commercial Services area. Partnering with analytics-focused business partners in a high-paced environment, the successful candidate will work to ensure that the best available information is provided to support decision making in the front office. This role emphasizes broad technical aptitude but requires some functional acumen in order to deliver timely insights without adversely impacting ongoing operations.Responsibilities:Assist in the establishment of leading DevOps practices, including a Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environmentUnderstand how the technical landscape supports business operations, and identify the best technologies to support a business needDevelop and maintain solutions with a cadence driven by optimizing time-to-value-realization by the businessDevelop and maintain architectural guidelines and coding standards to ensure that solutions are reliable, sustainable and scalableContribute to a healthy team environment, collaborating with various organizations across IT including analytics, database management, and peer developers/analysts as appropriateEnsure solutions are implemented in a manner consistent with our clients corporate policies and IT standards, utilizing appropriate methods, controls and documentationClearly communicate thoughts, specifications, requirements, and progress with business clients and peers using appropriate means of communicationQualifications:Track record of proven delivery of business valueProven written and verbal communication skillsStrong command of a formal SDLC methodologyStrong problem-solving skillsStrong command of applicable development tools and languagesStrong command of object-oriented fundamentals, including design patterns, encapsulation, abstraction and SOLID development principlesExperience with multiple languages such as Python, Java or C#/.NetProficient in SQL ServerAzure DevOps experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience working with multiple database types, including noSQL, ultrawide and/or time-series databasesExperience with both functional and procedural development a strong plusUX or design thinking a plusFamiliarity with ITSM / ITIL
