Software Engineer

The Software Engineer helps power the technology behind the Topgolf guest experience, building backend services in Go and front-end applications in Vue.js that support our venues and digital products.

This role works across the stack, from writing clear specs through API design and user interface implementation, using AI-assisted development practices to deliver reliable, well-tested features as part of a collaborative engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in Go
• Build and maintain responsive, user-facing features and components using Vue.js
• Define and implement API contracts (REST and/or event-driven interfaces) between front-end and backend services
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability across the stack
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with product, design, QA, and other engineers to uphold engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, contributing to logging, monitoring, and alerting practices
• Practice spec-driven development, writing clear technical specs and design docs to guide implementation before writing code
• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate implementation, testing, and code review while maintaining code quality

Requirements

• Experience: 3+ Years - Professional software engineering experience
• 2+ Years - Building backend services in Go
• 2+ Years - Building front-end applications with Vue.js
• 1+ Years - Working with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) in a professional setting
