The Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program (NG-MIP) is an approved SkillBridge Program under Dept. of Defense Instruction . The NG-MIP program is an opportunity for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through an individual internship during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. The Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program is open to all ranks and experience levels. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Northrop Grumman, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as Active-duty service members.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Cloud Engineer to maintain and enhance capabilities in support of DAF CLOUDworks at the Wright Patterson AFB / Beavercreek, OH. DAF CLOUDworks is a rapidly growing secure cloud program that encompasses 10+ teams.

These teams span all different areas of cloud engineering including information security, infrastructure development, and cloud migration. You will be an active part of one of these teams providing technical support of customers leveraging DAF CLOUDworks. Along with operations and sustainment, DAF CLOUDworks focuses on modifying and enhancing offerings to implement new requirements, enhance functionality, increase efficiency, or lower operating/deployment.Basic Qualifications:An active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)Bachelors degree in Science with 2 years' experience, Masters degree with no experience, or 6 years' experience in lieu of degreeMeets DoD SkillBridge qualifications as per DODI Ability to contribute to the development of technical documentationKnowledge of full software lifecycle and agile development methodologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to operate in a team environment.Highly motivated, self-learner, team player, and technically inquisitiveAble to obtain IAT Level II certification per DoD such as CASP+ or Security+ within 60 days of start date.Preferred Qualifications:Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) from an accredited institutionBe majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degreeKnowledge of Cloud-based technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud); certification is a plusProficiency in Python and Object-Oriented Design and ProgrammingExperience with Open Container Initiative (OCI) containerized application development (e.g. Docker, Podman)Familiarity with container orchestration tools and techniques (e.g. Kubernetes, helm, flux)Knowledge of the Atlassian toolset (e.g.

Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)Experience leveraging Git for code managementPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
